Lily & Jayden
Deniliquin Town Hall Wedding
A Town Hall Transformed
There’s something pretty special about seeing a familiar regional space completely transformed for a wedding.
For Lily and Jayden, Deniliquin Town Hall became an elegant, light filled reception layered with crisp white furniture, abundant florals and candlelight. The simplicity of the white palette allowed the character of the Town Hall to remain, from the polished timber floors and ornate detailing to that incredible deep red stage curtain.
Long dining tables filled the hall, lined with our white bentwood chairs and styled with delicate florals and candlelight. The result felt timeless and considered, while still allowing the grandeur of the building to do the talking.
A Celebration That Felt Like Them
One of the things we love most about this wedding is that Lily and Jayden weren't afraid to make the day their own.
Rather than following a traditional wedding timeline simply because it was expected, they chose the parts that felt right for them. They spent the night before together, had a first look and took photos with their daughter before the ceremony.
As Lily says:
“Do what makes you happy. Pick the flowers you love, the food you enjoy and don’t be afraid to change the flow of the day to suit what feels right for you.”
From Dinner to Drinks
The celebration extended beyond the Town Hall, with the courtyard becoming a relaxed space for guests to gather, drink and mingle.
A mix of white café tables, dining chairs, low back stools, bar tables and umbrellas created informal pockets for guests without everything needing to match perfectly. Keeping the furniture within the same fresh white palette connected the outdoor area seamlessly with the reception inside.
As Evening Fell
Back inside, the long table layout created a beautifully intimate atmosphere despite the scale of the room.
Rows of white bentwood chairs softened the darker timber floors, while abundant white, green and touches of blue florals framed the room. As the light dropped and the candles were lit, the space shifted from a beautifully styled reception into a warm, bustling dinner.
Advice from the Bride
When it comes to planning, Lily’s biggest advice is to invest in the things that will allow you to actually enjoy the day.
“Find a photographer whose style suits you. Photos are memories you’ll have forever.”
And while weddings inevitably involve deciding where to spend and where to save, there was one investment she wouldn't hesitate to make again: an on the day coordinator.
“Hiring an on-the-day coordinator, who started helping two weeks out, was honestly the best money we spent. It took so much pressure off us and our families and meant we could all actually relax and enjoy the day.”
That might be some of our favourite wedding advice yet.
